Marjory (Jory) Noble began her violin studies at the Peabody Conservatory of Music at age 7. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in violin performance from Indiana University in 1978 and pursued graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her string quartet, Novello, toured Germany and Italy while under the tutelage of the Fine Arts Quartet. She has performed with the South Bend Symphony, Opera Orchestra of New York, Winnipeg Symphony, Royal Winnipeg Ballet and the Milwaukee Symphony. She was the assistant concertmaster of the Skylight Opera, Milwaukee Ballet, Music Under the Stars Orchestra, Joffrey Ballet, Chicago Sinfonietta, Symphony II, Symphony of the Shores, Ravinia Festival Orchestra, Chicago Philharmonic and Ars Viva. She was assistant concertmaster of L’Opera Piccola and performed and toured with Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Since moving to Seattle in 2008, Jory has been pursuing her love of chamber music while substituting in the PNB and other orchestras in Seattle. In addition to Aronoff Chamber Players, Jory is a member of the COHO Quartet, Seattle Mandolin Orchestra and the Classical Mandolin Society of America.
