Baroque Fiddle: From Corelli to Cape Breton

Baroque Fiddle

The violin first arrived in Scotland in the 17th century, and quickly became established in musical life both at court and in the countryside. Explore the intersection of art and folk music in the Celtic traditions, from high Baroque to high-spirited reels, jigs, and Strathspeys, across the ages and across the Atlantic, from 18th century Edinburgh to Cape Breton, Appalachia, and the Pacific Northwest.

  • David Greenberg and Brandon Vance, fiddles
  • Henry Lebedinsky, harpsichord and bouzouki

Pacific MusicWorks Underground blends baroque music with drink, friends, and fun. Our monthly matinée concerts at Resonance showcase some of the finest performers from the Seattle area, the Pacific Northwest, and beyond; with creatively-themed programming, multimedia, and a good dose of humor. There might even be a musical pub quiz or drinking game thrown in for fun. The series features communal table seating with brunch-themed bar service available throughout each performance. Snacks and other non-alcoholic beverages are also available.

We can’t wait to see you!
