A Masterclass with Paul Barnes

The Resonance Masters Series is proud to present a piano masterclass with international concert artist Paul Barnes, who was recently named “Teacher of the Year” by the Nebraska MTA. This event is free for those who also purchase a ticket to Dr. Barnes’ concert on the 11th, where he will perform Phillip Glass’s “Annunciation” Piano Quintet with the Skyros Quartet, a work which Dr. Barnes commissioned and personally premiered during April of 2018.

ABOUT THE CLINICIAN/PERFORMER

Praised by the New York Times for his “Lisztian thunder and deft fluidity,” and the San Francisco Chronicle as “ferociously virtuosic,” pianist Paul Barnes has electrified audiences with his intensely expressive playing and cutting-edge programming.  He has been featured five times on APM’s Performance Today, and his recordings are streamed worldwide.  Barnes enjoys a special relationship with Philip Glass, having commissioned and premiered multiple works by that composer.  With performances throughout Europe, the Near East, the Far East, and the U.S., Barnes’ unique lecture recitals have received international acclaim.
