After making his solo debut with the Oregon Symphony at the age of 11, Andy Liang went on to perform in Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and Jordan Hall by the age of 15. Andy has been a featured soloist with orchestras such as the Oregon Symphony, Portland Chamber Orchestra, Vancouver Symphony, Portland Youth Philharmonic, and the National Repertory Orchestra. He has also served as concertmaster of the Shepherd School Symphony Orchestra, the Butler School Symphony Orchestra, and as the Assistant Concertmaster of the National Repertory Orchestra. Andy has been a performing artist at the Caroga Lake Music Festival for the past 6 seasons and is currently in his second season with the Seattle Symphony. Andy is also a member of the KASA Quartet and ALKALI. Andy completed his Bachelor and Master of Music at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music studying with Cho-Liang Lin and received his Artist Diploma at the University of Texas at Austin studying with the Miró Quartet.
